The 2020 Advanced school on Multispecies modelling Approaches for ecosystem based marine REsource management in the MEDiterranean Sea, AMARE-MED 2020 will be held at the University of Split (Croatia) from 20 to 25 July 2020.
The school, which is now in its fourth year of operation, will provide a theoretical basis, working examples and hands-on computer activities to expand participants' capacity for multispecies modelling. Attendees will be given assignments and learn programming on single and multispecies spatially explicit models using GADGET, SeaPopDym, and ECOSPACE of the Ecopath with Ecosim suite.
By the end of the five-day course, the organisers hope to have addressed multidisciplinary and spatial dimension of fisheries management including both socio-economic and environmental issues.
