The MERCES project (Marine ecosystem Restoration in Changing European Seas) will be holding its third webinar on ‘Ecosystem Restoration in Deep Waters’ at 15.00h ECT (Paris) on Thursday 27 June 2019.
This webinar will cover:
- the decommissioning of subsea structures and the potential for turning rigs into reefs to restore hard substrate habitats in the North Sea, and
- the potential of ecosystem restoration techniques in deep-sea mining and the need for research into these tools in ecosystem management during the exploration for minerals.
