The Eurolag conference is a biennial symposium that aims to bring together scientists, managers and stakeholders to discuss new scientific findings and experiences on the knowledge and use of coastal lagoons, from cold-fresh-water Baltic lagoons to the warm-hyperhaline lagoons in the Mediterranean. This year there will be a special session dedicated to European Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) and its relations with data FAIRness, as well as its relevance for lagoons and transitional areas.
This, the 9th iteration of the conference, is organized by the Institute of Marine Sciences (ISMAR) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), the Consortium for Lagoon Research (Corila), and the University of Venice Ca’ Foscari.
There will be themed sessions and poster events during the 5 days of the conference. The venue will only hold a maximum of 200 people, so do not wait too long for registering (Registration opens 1 November 2019).
There are also limited opportunities for student grants; to learn more about these visit the conference fellowship page.
