In 2018, the EuroMarine General Assembly (GA) meeting will take place in Matosinhos (Porto), Portugal, on 17 January (afternoon) and 18 January 2018 (all day). It will be hosted and co-organised by CIIMAR.
It will be preceded on 17 January morning (starting at 10:00; ending at 12:00) by a drop-in event titled Marine data consultancy: the EMBRIC Configurator. All participants in the GA meeting are encouraged to register for and attend this drop-in event. For details please refer to the event webpage.
It will be followed by a (closed) EuroMarine Steering Committee meeting, on Friday 19 Jan. AM.
For the GA meeting
All GA representatives (or substitutes) and all invited participants are invited to register by 20 Dec. 2017 (last extended deadline) and to plan their travel.
All other potential participants are invited to register by 20 Dec. 2017. Their registration will be confirmed around mid-December (within room capacity limits).
The registration form will be left open after this deadline, but any late registrations will need to be confirmed by the Secretariat on a case by case basis, within room capacity limit.
For the drop-in event
For organisational purposes we ask all participants and invitees to register by sending an e-mail to annalisaebi [dot] ac [dot] uk (and to also indicate their intent to attend this event in the GA meeting registration form, for those participating in the GA meeting).
Call for candidates and election of three new Steering Committee (SC) members
Three new SC members should be elected during the GA meeting (as prescribed by SC renewal rules). The call for candidates opens on 21 Nov. and closes on 31 Dec. 2017. While their term will officially start in July 2018, the three new SC members will be invited (if present) to attend the SC meeting that will be held on 19 Jan. AM after the GA meeting, and to participate in any online SC meeting or email exchanges prior to the official start of their term.

- Wed. 17 Jan. morning: registration and drop-in event - Marine data consultancy: the EMBRIC Configurator (10:00-12:00)
- Wed. 17 Jan. noon: registration, lunch, poster session
- Wed. 17 Jan. afternoon GA meeting (reporting, presentation of outcome of selected EuroMarine activities, discussion...)
- Thu. 18 Jan. morning: GA meeting (continued)
- Thu. 18 Jan. afternoon: GA meeting (formal business / decision-making session)
- Fri. 19 Jan. morning: closed Steering Committee meeting (SC members only).
