In April 2018, the European Marine Board (EMB) published a 'Future Science Brief' titled Training of the 21st century marine professional (a document to which EuroMarine contributed, notably through the organisation of a workshop titled Training the 21st Century Marine Scientist & Technologist whose conclusions fed the EMB working group in charge of the brief).
The Searica (Seas, Rivers, Islands and Coastal Areas) EU Parliament Intergroup has taken the initiative to organise a conference together with the European Marine Board to discuss with representatives from the research community, the industry and students about what is needed to achieve fit-for-purpose training to ensure that the blue economy benefits from the talent of marine graduates.
Please refer to the attached (provisional) programme (subject to change) for details and to the event's website for the latest information.
Note from the organisers: Participants are kindly requested to register as soon as possible on http://www.searica.eu/fr/evenements/young-talent-and-the-blue-economy/individual-registration in order to guarantee and organise the access to the EP. The day of the conference, participants are kindly requested to present themselves at 12:30 in order to avoid delays.
