The Strategic Marine Alliance for Research & Training (SMART), in collaboration with the Marine Institute, has announced a number of marine research placements on a range of research surveys on board the National Research Vessels, RV Celtic Explorer and RV Celtic Voyager. On-board placements provide the experience and skills required to work at sea and facilitate career development in ocean science. Participation also serves as a valuable opportunity to network with leading Irish and European marine scientists. Applications are invited from final-year undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students from across the island of Ireland. Applicants must hold a degree in marine-related science or technology or be in the final year of their undergraduate programme.
