IPBES Call for nominations of experts - assessment of invasive alien speciesExternal

Nominations by EuroMarine possible

Call Overview

Call Category: Expertise

Opening: October 4, 2018
Closing: January 11, 2019

IPBES (the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services) calls for the nomination of experts on invasive species by governments or organisations and stakeholders. In order to reinforce the presence of marine experts in IPBES assessments , and as for previous IPBES calls for experts or collaboration, the EuroMarine Steering Committee strongly encourages marine scientists to apply for their nomination, either by their government, or by an organisation.

EuroMarine, as a scientific network recognised by IPBES as a stakeholder, can approve and submit the nomination application of interested marine scientists. For details on this specific call for experts on invasive alien species and on how to apply, please refer to the IPBES original call. If you intend to apply (by 11 Jan. 2019 at the latest) or have already applied as a nominee, we would appreciate if you could inform us at secretariatateuromarinenetwork [dot] eu. If you intend to seek the support of EuroMarine as a nominator, please contact secretariatateuromarinenetwork [dot] eu and we will get back to you with details on information that should be entered under the dedicated IPBES web portal in order to have EuroMarine approve and submit your nomination application.
