OYSTER (Orienting young scientists of Euromarine) is looking for enthusiastic, engaged and creative early career scientists who are willing to play an important role in advocating EuroMarine and promoting the role and relevance of marine science and the ocean in general. OYSTER in particular seeks individuals with interests/knowledge in web sites development and video making to join the working group.
The EuroMarine early career researcher group OYSTER (Orienting Young Scientists of EuroMarine) is currently conducting a survey to gain insight into some personal and professional impacts the COVID-19 pandemic has had on marine Early Career Researchers (ECRs).

In 2020, EuroMarine and EMBRC jointly launch a new call offering access to EMBRC services to early career researchers affiliated with a EuroMarine member organisation.
EuroMarine opens on 5 Dec. 2019 its annual call for candidates to join its Steering Committee (SC) - to be partially renewed every year from 2016 on, as decided by the General Assembly (GA) during its 2015 meeting.
Two positions are open to candidates for 2020. (As decided by the GA in 2019, there are alternatively 2 and 3 open positions each year.)

OYSTER in particular seeks individuals within the field of marine social science to join the working group.
In 2019 (as in 2018), EuroMarine organises two distinct, parallel calls:
- A call for proposals of activities (the present call)
- A call for application for individual fellowships (targeting EuroMarine PhD students and scholars in their first post-doctoral position, to let them attend an advanced course of their choice)
