The European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC) is currently seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the role of Executive Director. The role is envisioned to have a start date of 1 January 2019, with an initial duration of 3 years. Suitable candidates for the role must be energetic, highly motivated and ambitious professionally, with relevant experience that will help contribute to the development of EMBRC-ERIC´s vision, strategy and plans.

The Executive Director will work under the direction of the General Assembly (GA), and ensure the integration of the Secretariat, the Operators and the National Nodes and build and strengthen strategic partnerships, realize and advance opportunities, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the goals of EMBRC-ERIC.

To be considered eligible for the role, it is vital candidates have a PhD or equivalent experience in marine science, business or engineering. Five years of project management experience is also desirable, as well as demonstrated experience in budget management and proficiency in at least two European languages, including excellent written and spoken English.
