AQUAEXCEL2020 is a Horizon 2020 research infrastructure project aimed at supporting the sustainable growth of the aquaculture sector in Europe through the provision of services tailored to the needs of the European aquaculture and research communities. The project offers a number of training opportunities, the latest of which is a free distance learning course covering the FISH & CHIPS tool. FISH & CHIPS is a database containing public transcriptomic data related to fish species in various physiological conditions and this bioinformatic tool can be used to extract genes which would have similar expression patterns and thus could be characteristic of fish biological responses.
The course is ideal for Early Career Researchers and others with a basic knowledge of genomics and gene expression, who want to improve their ability to analyse and interpret transcriptomic data from fish. The course consists of 4 modules and will be available through the end of September. More details can be found in the flyer below or at the link.
