The Paris hub of the Future Earth Secretariat is seeking a science officer to help them in their mission of accelerating the transformations to global sustainability through research and innovation. 

The Science Officer will work in a dynamic international setting on a range of issues. The primary responsibilities of the Science Officer will include:

  1. Coordinating the ocean-focused activities of the Science Based Pathways Sustainability Initiative including coordination of scientific workshops and meetings, liaison with researchers and stakeholders, and coordination of project publications.
  2. Providing coordination support to selected Global Research Projects and the Ocean Knowledge Action Network.
  3. Liaising with partners in France and internationally on ocean and marine science issues.
  4. Contributing to fundraising and project management for activities in the Paris global hub.
