The recently-started EU project COMFORT is offering a research associate position to model exploited fish populations under climate change scenarios. 

The successful candidate will investigate the interacting effects of fisheries exploitation and climate change on Atlantic cod populations. A main aim of the thesis will be to develop population models for Atlantic cod that allow the evaluation of sustainable management strategies under climate change. The candidate will also work on a PhD thesis on closing knowledge gaps for key ocean tipping elements within the Earth system under anthropogenic physical and chemical climate change.
