The University of Gothenburg's Department of Marine Sciences is advertising for a successful postdoc candidate to join a group of marine evolutionary biology researchers active at the Department of Marine Science, based at Tjärnö Marine Laboratory. 

The candidate is expected to lead and perform the bioinformatic analyses of the resequencing data using standard software. The candidate will be responsible for presenting the results of the analyses in manuscript(s) and at conferences, as well as communicating the findings through various dissemination activities. The candidate is also expected to take part in other research-related activities at the department, and within the research group in particular.

Relevant subject areas for this position are population genetics, evolutionary biology, bioinformatics or equivalent academic disciplines. The candidate must have a PhD in a relevant subject area, or a degree that is judged to be comparable. The candidate should have earlier experience of bioinformatics and working with large sets of sequencing data and/or statistical analyses of genetic data.
