The GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel (Germany) is recruiting for a postdoctoral position in biogeochemical cycling of trace metals in the oceans. The successful candidate will investigate the sources, sinks, biogeochemical cycling and ecological effects of trace elements in the oceans. The work will focus on open ocean systems and form part of the large contribution by the team to the International GEOTRACES Program. State of the art analytical techniques are available to undertake ocean observations, experiments and data handling. The start date is 1 April 2019. The position is available for a funding period of 3 years, with a possibility for another 3 years following positive evaluation.
