The Institute of Parasitology, Biology Centre, Czech Academy of Sciences is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in computational biology / bioinformatics.
The successful candidate will process and analyse evolutionary and functional ‘omics’ research data of myxozoans, parasitic flatworms and their hosts. The candidate will work in joint projects of the Laboratory of Fish Protistology and the Laboratory of Helminthology, where they will, in close collaboration with data producers, lead the efforts on analysis and integration of high-throughput datasets.
Research focuses on the assembly and comparative analysis of genomes, transcriptomes and proteomes to better understand host-parasite interaction and evolution of selected aquatic parasites that are responsible also for pathologies in wild and cultured fish, with some being of major importance to the aquaculture industry.
