The Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research is currently advertising for a Research Associate position, which will run for a total of three years initially. The position will be heavily involved in the TRAFFIC project, which aims to study the foodweb structure and its functional links, to analyse the trophic transfer efficiency (TTE), and the associated effects of the biologically mediated CO2 uptake.

Some of the major tasks in the position will include multiple species observation investigations, conducting research in southern Africa and publication of results in peer reviewed scientific journals. To be eligible for the role, candidates must have an educational background in marine sciences or a related discipline, excellent knowledge of R, and strong communication skills, including excellent written and spoken English.
