The French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea (Ifremer) is currently looking for a Researcher in Microbial Ecology. The ideal candidate for the position will examine the interactions between different species of microalgae as well as between microalgae and other micro-organisms associated with bioloical crops, such as bacteria (competition or synergy) and their predators(triggering of defense system), promoting research work by writing scientific articles, and evaluating the interactions between the performances of microalgae assemblages with the production and rearing systems and their bioremediation capacity.

To be considered eligible, candidates must possess a strong knowledge on the biology of organisms, and microalgae in particular, as well as molecular biology and marine ecology. A strong ability to work in a team, as well as strong initiative and organisation skills.
