The University of Gothenburg is seeking a suitably qualified candidate to fulfil a Senior Lecturer role, with a specialisation in Management. The job will mainly involve research and teaching, as well as outreach and collaboration in the area of marine ecology and management. You are expected to initiate and develop transdisciplinary research with focus on marine ecology and management of marine ecosystems, in collaboration with other academic disciplines as well as environmental authorities or other stakeholders in society. You are expected to develop and lead your own research group, and apply and obtain external research funding for this purpose.

With regards to the teaching aspect of the role, the candidate is expected to develop, coordinate and teach on the new master program "Sea and society", a transdisciplinary program with teachers from several faculties. In addition, you should be able to teach within first cycle education in marine ecology, including courses at the marine field stations. The assignments also include supervision of bachelor and master students in their degree projects, as well as doctoral students.

To be eligible for the role, candidates must have a doctorate in an area relevant to the position. A strong command of the English language, both written and verbal, is also hugely important.
