NOC is seeking an experienced strategic and operational leader as the new Associate Director National Marine Facilities (NMF). Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer/CFO, and working collaboratively with the other Associate Directors, the AD NMF balances compliance with international and national regulation, UKRI-NERC governance, and the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of NMF services and facilities, whilst also supporting NOC in the delivery of its strategic objectives. The appointee will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for NMF, driving innovation to ensure it remains at the cutting edge of the integrated provision of scientific technology for marine science, ensuring that the NOC remains ahead of the curve in collecting, analysing and sharing data from the ocean, and setting it on a path to becoming the world’s most innovative oceanographic institution. The AD NMF will also represent NOC in the wider national and international Marine community and play a key role in supporting of delivery of the NOC’s vision and mission.
