Centre Scientifique de Monaco (CSM) are seeking a postdoctoral fellow in cell biology to join their Coral Physiology team. The postdoctoral fellow will investigate the biology of calcifying cells in different tropical coral species and under different experimental conditions. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to interact with a team exploring the potential roles of diverse cellular processes in driving biomineralization.
Corals and other cnidarians are becoming increasingly important model organisms in diverse aspects of cell biology, including investigations into development, evolution, environmental stress and biomineralization. CSM's focus is primarily cellular control of biomineralization for which new frontiers are opening.
