The Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) is hiring a Consultant to work as the GOOS Biology and Ecosystems Panel Programme Lead. Among other tasks described in the Terms of Reference (https://ioc-goos.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=16036ef572b0c3aef59a0699e&id=65ef73e148&e=69b2f0696f), the contractor will:

• Support the development and harmonisation of a unified and up-to-date format for Essential Ocean Variable (EOV) specification sheets that provides newly developed standards
• Support the BioEco EOV leads in identifying opportunities for progressing EOV networks, with a focus on progression across Europe as well as globally
• Coordinate with OBIS to progress the BioEco Portal in mapping BioEco EOV observations and managing metadata on observing networks and observation
