The National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics (OGS) in Trieste, Italy has opened a position for a 12 months research grant (funded by the Italian project PRIN Attraction) for a young scientist interested to work on Arctic data and Polar Research.

The position with the title "Oceanography of the Polar Regions" is available with the Section of Oceanography of the National Institute (OGS). There is a future possibility of extension.

The candidate will contribute to the study of oceanographic processes mainly in polar regions by collecting, processing and analysing physical and biogeochemical data obtained from oceanographic campaigns, autonomous Lagrangian measurement systems, oceanographic moorings and numerical models. The candidate will have the the opportunity to participate in polar expeditions in both the Arctic and Antarctic.
