The World Meteorological Organization (WMO), in collaboration with UNESCO, is seeking an IT Lead for OceanOPS, the joint center of excellence dedicated to supporting and advancing global ocean observing systems. Based at OceanOPS, hosted by Ifremer in France, this role involves overseeing and enhancing the OceanOPS information system to ensure its functionality, security, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include maintaining and developing the system architecture, analyzing needs, implementing solutions, and aligning metadata with WMO standards. The IT Lead will also collaborate with international stakeholders, including GOOS observing networks and marine data initiatives, while proposing innovative advancements to improve system functionality and security. Leading a small IT team, the incumbent will ensure timely delivery of products aligned with OceanOPS’ strategy and goals.
