The Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI), a Centre of Excellence in Marine and Maritime Research, Innovation and Technology Development, established in Larnaca, Cyprus since 2019, is interested in establishing an EU-funded ERA Chair with a prospective ERA Chair holder (M/F) who should be an outstanding researcher and/or innovator in a chosen scientific domain relevant to CMMI’ activities.

The scientific field can be any domain of marine or maritime research and innovation, including but not limited to marine technology, marine sciences and marine social sciences. ERA Chair holders can be citizens of any country in the world.

ERA Chair holders should be excellent researchers and/or innovators in the chosen field of research. They will be given the chance to establish a research team fully integrated in the coordinator's institution to significantly improve its research performance in the scientific domain of choice and to be more successful in obtaining competitive funding.
