The Ocean Enterprise Initiative is a flagship program that aims to spearhead innovation, thought leadership, and economic development within the Ocean Enterprise.

The Ocean Enterprise Initiative includes the expansion of the signature program Dialogues with Industry, launched in 2022 with partners from the Marine Technology Society (MTS), the Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS), and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), led by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of the United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO), and industry partners Kongsberg Discovery and L3Harris.

Now, the Ocean Enterprise Initiative seeks passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds to serve on the External Advisory Team. They are looking for representation from:

• Industry
• Science
• Philanthropic/Non-Profit Organizations
• Government/Intergovernmental Entities

• Modeling and Data Services
• Data Repositories/Databases
