We are excited to announce the next EuroMarine Open Science Day and General Assembly 2025 in Chioggia (Italy) on the 25th and 26th of February 2025.

Registration is now open!

This event is a unique opportunity to showcase the achievements within our network and to come together in celebration of marine research.

Aiming to enjoy engaging presentations, the guiding principle is “Excellent science”. There will be two sessions, both starting with outstanding keynote speakers, followed by shorter 10-15min presentations and sufficient time for questions and discussion.

The first session aims to showcase scientific advance, and the second session will focus on socio-ecological challenges for marine conservation and restoration in a changing planet. We hope this nurtures transdisciplinary debate and friendly networking, making it a great day for all and a purposeful preparation for the General Assembly on the 26th.

The final agenda and supporting documents are now available. As we could not accommodate a slot in our agenda for all interested speakers we would like to offer the possibility of networking around a poster. You are therefore encouraged to bring the posters you would like to share with the community printed in A0 format. There are poster slots reserved, and we will follow the ‘first come first served’ principle for the selection.

We strongly encourage everyone to attend the meeting in person to fully enjoy this year’s fantastic presentations, to participate in the GA discussions and voting, and to meet and network with your friends and fellow members. We will also broadcast the event online offering limited interaction only.

To facilitate your travel, we have prepared a practical guide (download below) that includes all practical information such as the agenda, the exact address of the venue and a list of hotels for your stay.

Looking forward to seeing you in Chioggia!
