The EuroMarine Network is pleased to announce its General Assembly meeting 2026, which will be held from 10 to 12 March 2026 in Cádiz, Spain, hosted by UCA & CSIC. The event will bring together EuroMarine members, partners, and the wider marine science community to exchange ideas, present new research, and discuss the future directions of the network.

As in previous years, the meeting will feature two main parts: the Open Science Days and the EuroMarine General Assembly, providing a platform for both scientific dialogue and network governance.

10–11 March 2026 – Open Science Day

The Open Science Days will take place over two days, combining scientific sessions, interactive workshops, and poster presentations curated by the local hosts.

This year’s edition will explore a broad range of topics across marine science, from fundamental research to interdisciplinary and applied studies that address current challenges facing the ocean and coastal systems.

The programme will include:

  • Plenary sessions featuring invited talks from leading researchers and policy experts.
  • Workshops and interactive discussions designed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants.
  • Poster sessions highlighting innovative research from EuroMarine members and early-career scientists.

The Open Science Days are open to all, offering a vibrant space for sharing scientific advances, initiating partnerships, and connecting with the broader EuroMarine community.

12 March 2026 – EuroMarine General Assembly & Steering Committee meetings

On 12 March, EuroMarine will hold its annual General Assembly, bringing together representatives of all member organizations. The Assembly will review and approve the network’s activities for 2025, discuss ongoing initiatives, and outline the strategic priorities for the coming year.

The General Assembly remains a key moment for reflection, exchange, and decision-making, reinforcing EuroMarine’s collaborative governance model and long-term vision.

This year's meeting will serve as an important forum for scientific engagement and community building, reaffirming the network’s commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation in marine research across Europe.

Further details on the programme, speakers, and registration will be shared in the coming weeks.
