The kick-off webinar of our brand-new EuroMarine Science Foresight Series was a huge success! Curated by our Science Foresight working group, these webinars have been designed to stimulate critical thinking and spark insightful conversations among our community.
Ocean Sciences, Arts and Philosophy in the Information Era - Seeking New Pathways to Experience the Living Ocean was the first of four webinars which explored the crossroads of ocean sciences, arts, and philosophy in the digital age.
In a world marked by ecological changes and technological advancements, this webinar contemplates a profound inquiry: How can we establish a harmonious and enriching relationship with our planet's oceans amidst the surge of artificial intelligence and information overload? Together, we explored how the fusion of sciences, arts, and philosophy can help us perceive and experience the living ocean in new and meaningful ways. This perspective is integral to our evolution as individuals and as a species, resonating with EuroMarine's commitment to managing ocean complexity and promoting ocean and human health.
