Within the scope of the M.A.R.E. (Marine Adventure for Research & Education) project, born in 2022 from an initiative of the Centro Velico Caprera (CVC) in collaboration with One Ocean Foundation as a scientific partner, and now at its third edition, the Foundation is offering the possibility to students and young researchers from international universities to sail on board the catamaran ONE and carry out their research activities in the western Mediterranean Sea.

This opportunity is designed for university students who intend to do a dissertation, a bachelor’s/master’s thesis on the data collected during the M.A.R.E. project 2024 or researchers who intend to produce a scientific publication.

One Ocean Foundation believes this is an excellent opportunity to participate in an itinerant field activity, collect scientific data and enhance the knowledge of the Mediterranean Sea and the marine biodiversity living inside its waters. Therefore, to facilitate this, we kindly request your assistance in disseminating information about this initiative within your university community, and specifically to those you think could be more interested in the project.

The M.A.R.E. project will start by the end of April 2024 and will last for 10 weeks, sailing from Italy to France and Spain, and finishing in La Maddalena island, Sardinia.

The deadline for the submission of the application is February 15th, 2024.
