The need for best practices is fundamental to enhance interoperability and reliability in the use of ocean data, to ensure the good evolution of the global observing network from the deep ocean to the coast, and to handle complex forecasting systems.
The objective of the eighth Ocean Best Practices System Workshop (OBPS WSVIII) is to facilitate the cross-cutting primary role of best practices in operational oceanography by promoting dialogues across science and technology.
The Agenda framework has Plenaries, scheduled on 14th and 18th October, and Workshop Sessions from 15 to 17 October. The first Workshop Plenary is devoted to the evolution of our Ocean knowledge and policy, and the second one addresses workshop recommendations and future perspectives. The workshop will be held online, including parallel sessions, keynotes and presentations, organised in two time zones. More information will be progressively shared through this webpage.
Whether you are an experienced user, or new to the Ocean Best Practices System, the OBPS team is pleased to invite you to register for this year's free online OBPS Workshop VIII.
